A private terminal where passengers expect everything to work.

TIA Private Terminal & Exclusive Club opened at Tirana International Airport “Mother Teresa” on 1 April 2022. In its own terminal it handles check-in, passport control and security for departing and arriving passengers, with a lounge, a meeting room and staff who rely on the IT at every step.

Challenge

The IT had to grow from a first setup to GDPR compliance.

At the start, the company needed IT support and a full setup in its head office and in the terminal: network, servers and security.

Later the company had to be GDPR compliant. That meant moving the whole infrastructure to a cloud that fits GDPR and adding more security measures.

    File sharing and the domain controller now run in the cloud, in clusters, so one failed server does not stop the company.

    With Alpine Edge, we set up internal chat, an omnichannel system, a password manager and MDM for the company's Android devices.
